Bagnaia continues to dominate ahead of qualifying

The #1 was once again at the top of the standings after a strong lap placed the Italian ahead of Viñales and Acosta

It was a busy 30 minutes for the MotoGP™ field as they took to track for the final time ahead of qualifying at the Motul TT Assen. Leading the pack in FP2 was Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), who continues a perfect run so far this weekend in the Netherlands. The #1 was at the top of the timesheets for the majority of the session and crossed the line ahead of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) in second. The #12 was 0.073s shy of Bagnaia’s benchmark and heads into qualifying ahead of the consistent Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), who will face Q1 later on.

Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) took fourth after a delayed start to the session after the #93 left the pitlane without knee sliders. Behind the eight-time World Champion were both Prima Pramac Racing riders, Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli, who finished in fifth and sixth. The Italian was ahead of compatriot Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team), who took seventh ahead of Alex Marquez in eighth.

Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing) was ninth after suffering a crash at turn 7, which briefly brought out the red flag due to track conditions. The #25 would return to the track for the final 10 minutes and would finish ahead of Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro, who took the final spot inside the top 10. Further back, Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) was down in 14th after the Italian’s plans were delayed also suffering a crash at turn 7 at the opening stages of the session.
