Having started his career in the Italian Moto3™ Championship with the Gresini and SIC58 junior squads, Marcon made the move to the European Moto2™ Championship in 2018. The Italian would go on to win rookie of the year, eventually ending the season sixth overall with a debut podium coming at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto. In 2019, the 20-year-old remained onboard a Speed Up and improved further by ending the Championship fourth in the standings with three podium finishes throughout the year. Now, Marcon moves into the World Championship arena for the first time, following two wildcard appearances at Valencia in 2018 and 2019, with the Tech 3 MotoE™ squad.
