Storia del pilota

Italian racer Romano Fenati made his debut in the Italian 125GP Championship in 2010 before lining up on the Moto3™ World Championship grid with Team Italia FMI for the first time in 2012, making an instant impact as he came second in Qatar and won the second race in Jerez. After a more challenging 2013, Fenati bounced back the following year as he joined Sky Racing Team VR46, winning four races and finishing fifth overall. He took another race win and more podiums in 2015, and stayed with Sky Racing Team VR46 in the lightweight class for another shot at the title the following season. After a good start, Fenati then parted ways with the squad before the Austrian GP and sat out the remainder of the season. The Italian was back in Moto3™ for 2017 with Marinelli Rivacold Snipers and took second overall as well as some stunning wins - moving up to Moto2™ with the same team in 2018. Fenati was then involved in more drama at Misano in an incident with Stefano Manzi, after which Fenati was suspended and not allowed to compete for the rest of the season. He returned to Moto3™ for 2019, with the same team, and was unable to find his 2017 form; aside from a single victory at the Red Bull Ring. For 2020, Fenati joined the Max Racing Team aboard a Husqvarna. His stand-out moment of the year came on homesoil at Misano, where he clinched a thrilling last lap victory to become the most successful Moto3™ rider in history. He continued with Max Racing for 2021 and showcased his talent by taking four podiums, including a memorable win at Silverstone. The reformed Italian was rightly given a second opportunity in Moto2™ with the Speed Up squad in 2022, but that was cut short after just six rounds, when his seat was given to Alonso Lopez. That left Fenati without a ride for the rest of the campaign, but he secured a place on the Moto3™ grid for 2023, with Rivacold Snipers Team.
