Diogo Moreira is among a number of new faces joining the World Championship circuit in 2022. The Brazilian’s impressive riding in the Red Bull Rookies Cup saw him claim sixth place in the 2021 edition thanks to one race win and four further podiums. He joined MT Helmets – MSI alongside Ryusei Yamanaka in his rookie Moto3™ campaign, and he took little to no time to adapt, claiming top six finishes in two of his first three races, while he took P8 overall in the Championship and the 2022 Rookie of the Year crown. For 2023, he stayed with the MT Helmets – MSI team, with hopes of contending for the title. However, throughout the season, he only secured three podiums, including a notable victory in Indonesia – his first in the World Championship. In 2024, he moved up to Moto2™ with the Italtrans Racing Team and would have an impressive maiden season, finishing 14th in the standing after securing his best result of the season at Solidarity GP. Moreira would also take the Moto2™ rookie of the year crown, with the Brazilian continuing with the Italtrans Racing Team in 2025.
