Andi Farid Izdihar started in the motorcycle world at the age of 8 and in 2010 he joined Astra Honda Racing's young rider development program. Five years later, the Indonesian was chosen to compete in the 2015 Asia Talent Cup, after finishing 6th in the 2014 Asia Dream Cup. After winning in Qatar and second in Sepang, Farid participated in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 ™ 2016 with Astra Honda Racing, in addition to continuing to compete in the Asia Talent Cup. In 2017, Farid was 5th in Albacete in the Moto3 ™ Junior World Championship, finishing the season 17th overall. He went through the Asia Road Racing Championship before landing in 2018 in the Supersport 600 class, where he finished 5th overall. Astra Honda then chose Farid to participate in the 2019 FIM CEV Repsol European Championship, where he achieved fifth place as the best booty to finish 14th overall. In 2020 he took a step forward by landing in the Moto2™ World Championship with Idemitsu Honda Team Asia. Although he did not manage to score any points, 2021 will give Farid another opportunity, this time in the Moto3 ™ category and with the help of Honda Team Asia.
