Augusto Fernandez continues to replace Oliveira for Spanish GP

The #7 will be back to his deputising duty as the Portuguese star continues to recover

After sustaining injuries during a Sprint incident at Termas de Rio Hondo, Miguel Oliveira’s (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) comeback will have to wait a little longer. With his injuries needing time to heal, it’ll be Augusto Fernandez who gets back into the saddle and will race at his home Grand Prix at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. Despite positive signs with his shoulders rehabilitation, doctors have determined that the #88 isn’t yet ready to make his return.

Fernandez has had two Grands Prix so far this season at COTA and last time out at Lusail, where he didn’t finish but did amass three points in the USA. He was a points-scorer two years ago in the main Grand Prix whilst he was a strong seventh in the Sprint 12 months ago.
