Martin handed three-place grid penalty in Assen

The World Championship leader was adjudged to be riding slow on the racing line in Q2

Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) has been handed a three-place grid penalty for Sunday’s race at the Motul TT Assen.

The World Championship leader was adjudged to have been riding slowly on the racing line and disturbing Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing MotoGP™) in Q2. The #89 will therefore launch from P5 instead of his P2 qualifying position as he goes in search of stopping title rival Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) from pocketing the Tissot Sprint and race double in the Netherlands.

Tune in to see how the MotoGP™ race plays out at the Cathedral of Speed at 14:00 local time (UTC +2)!
