Ducati Lenovo Team wins Teams' title; Martin takes Independent crown

After a stunning season so far, the Ducati Lenovo Team secured the Teams’ Championship as Martin celebrates the Independent Riders’ title

With #TheRematch now underway, the Ducati Lenovo Team has already secured the 2024 Teams’ Championship after a standout performance at the Thai GP. Thanks to the efforts of Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, the Ducati Lenovo Team have racked up 781 points so far this season. The team has bagged 11 Grand Prix victories too, earning a 173-point cushion over closest rivals Prima Pramac Racing.

Meanwhile, it was an important weekend for Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin, who clinched the Independent Riders' title in Thailand. The #89 leads the MotoGP™ World Championship, heading the charge by 17 points over Bagnaia. Martin secured the Independent title after a P2 finish at Buriram, adding to his podium tally and earning a 97-point advantage from closest Independent rival Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™).

Prima Pramac Racing’s work is far from over, as they now have a shot at the 2024 Independent Teams’ Championship in the next round. The Italian-based team currently boast a 116-point lead over Gresini Racing MotoGP™, with only two rounds remaining.
