Schedule changes announced for Qatar GP

Friday afternoon Practice has now been moved to Saturday after earlier rainfall in Qatar

A change of schedule has been announced for the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar after an earlier downpour hit the Lusail International Circuit. The MotoGP™ class was set for a one-hour Practice session on Friday afternoon to decide on Q2 slots in Saturday Qualifying. However, at the end of Moto3™ Practice 1 rain fell causing a lack of running in Moto2™ Practice 1 and a change of schedule for MotoGP™.

This means Practice will take place on Saturday morning at 13:40 local time (UTC +3) and will decide the Q2 slots in a 45-minute session.

Before FP2 started, MotoGP™ Race Director, Mike Webb said: "The upcoming MotoGP session will now be a 45-minute Free Practice 2. Times will not count towards entry into Q2. The MotoGP Practice session will now be held on Saturday from 13:40 to 14:25 LT. It will be 45 minutes in duration."
