New year, new opportunities! The Northern Talent Cup field are raring to go for Round 1 of 2025 – and what a place to start the season at. The TT Circuit Assen plays host as the 24 permanent riders, plus a few exciting wildcard riders along the way, aim for glory on the Road to MotoGP™.
Like in 2024, the NTC riders will be racing on Honda’s NSF250 R machine, with Assen alongside the WorldSBK paddock the first of seven rounds and 14 races that will decide this year’s title winner. Last year’s Champion, Jurrien Van Crugten, has been promoted into the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, so it’s an opportunity for a new rider to lift the NTC crown.
Tobias Kitzbichler, Tom Rolin, Alessandro Binder and Thias Wenzel all return after finishing inside the top 10 in the Cup standings last year, so they’ll be familiar faces to watch out for, but there are plenty of other riders who will be making a name for themselves this season too – starting this weekend.
Race 1 is on Saturday, with Race 2 coming on Sunday in the Netherlands. Be sure to tune in on NTC social channels!
