Advantage Acosta ahead of French GP

The Spaniard was the quickest rider on Sunday morning ahead of Miller and home hero Quartararo with Viñales suffering a crash

It is finally race day in Le Mans for what is expected to be an exciting day of action at the Michelin® Grand Prix de France. However, before racing the riders took to the track for Warm Up with Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) taking top honours after a cracking final lap from the #31 – setting a 1:31.520. Acosta was one of the many riders who tested their bike swap strategy, in case of a flag-to-flag scenario in the race. Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) looked confident after finishing Warm Up in second, ending the session 0.170s adrift of Acosta. Home Hero Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ Team) will fly the flag for France, ending Warm Up in third ahead of Gresini Racing MotoGP™’s Marc Marquez. The #93 will start from the French GP from 13th on the grid and ended Warm Up 0.013s ahead of Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) in fifth position.

Aprilia Racing’s Maverick Viñales had an eventful morning in France, losing the front on the exit of turn four, rider ok. The #12 was 13th in Warm Up, ending the session ahead of Tissot Sprint winner, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), who was down in 16th.

All eyes around the globe now turn to the legendary French GP, which begins at 14:00 local time (UTC +2) with Martin starting from pole position. So, make sure you tune in and keep up to date with all the action on motogp.com!
