Viñales charges to the top ahead of Americas GP

The Spaniard was quickest on Sunday morning ahead of Marc Marquez and Fernandez on a potential record-breaking Sunday

The riders took to the Circuit Of The Americas for Warm Up to perfect their packages ahead of the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. Flying to the top of the time sheets on Sunday morning was Maverick Viñales, continuing to dominate in Austin. Behind the Spaniard was the King of COTA – Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™), who was a mere 0.176 behind – with the #93 aiming to add to his win tally. Raul Fernandez brought the Trackhouse Racing machine to third ahead of the team’s home race. Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) will be hoping for less drama on Sunday, with the Spaniard ending Warm Up in fourth ahead of Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™).

Reigning World Champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) had a quiet start to Sunday, ending the session in 15th ahead of last year’s winner Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™).
